About the Comic Strip
Duxter, by Declan Byrne, is a comic strip about Duxter, a lazy, naïve duck with a slightly skewed moral compass, and his two roommates, Ziggy, a cynical reptilian creature, and Russ, a nauseatingly optimistic rooster.
The strips available on this website range from the very first to the very latest. The cartoonist is gradually improving with every comic he creates, thus the latest ones are generally the funniest and best drawn. The earlier strips are generally terrible, and are put in only for historical value.

About the Cartoonist
Some time in 1992, atop a mountain during a thunderstorm, a child was born. His eyes were alight with the wrath of Beelzebub as he wailed to the heavens in anger for being doomed to an inevitably mediocre life on the Earth.
He was adopted by wolves, but deserted a year later when the pack became envious of his three opposable thumbs. He grew up from then on with a pleasant family in the city of Brisbane, Australia, the rage of a thousand daemons still burning strongly within him.
Sometime in 2006, the insanity that this child had surreptitiously harboured for over a decade suddenly burst forth onto a sheet of paper and thus, the comic strip known to commoners as Duxter was born.
Other than drawing and writing completely truthful autobiographies, Declan enjoys playing the euphonium, sleeping, eating and laughing at midgets.
Declan's profuse thanks are extended to Tim Peut for developing, coding, hosting and maintaining this website.
FAQs
How did Duxter begin?
Originally, Duxter and Ziggy were minor characters in a comic called Sammy Squirrel. After drawing about twenty of these strips, the cartoonist realised that the only funny strips were ones with Duxter and Ziggy in them, so he ditched the other characters, promoted Duxter to the top spot and introduced Russ.
How does the cartoonist create a strip?
Once he's got an idea for a strip, he draws it on a piece of paper, puts it in a scanner and then colours it in using Adobe Photoshop.
How does the cartoonist think of ideas?
He doesn't. He pays homeless people and drunks to do it.
What’s up with the dog?
That’s Princess, or P. The cartoonist originally created this character as a sort of “straight guy” but, basically, he wasn’t funny and he had a stupid name, so he was phased out.
What the hell is that green blob?
That’s a good question. Several international agencies are looking into the matter as we speak, but the investigations are highly classified. We understand that his name is Ziggy.
Who’s the cartoonist?
The cartoonist is a guy called Declan Byrne, from Brisbane, Australia. Declan has pasty white skin, nerdy glasses and too much hair. He’s very irritating and it is recommended that you avoid him at all times.
Why are these comic strips so crap?
The humour in these comics is aimed at people with very low IQs. There's a high chance you're too smart to understand the blatant stupidity contained within the strips. Try striking yourself upon the head with a mace several times, then read the strips again. If you do not laugh, repeat.
Is the cartoonist a folder or a scruncher?
The cartoonist is not obliged to answer such personal questions.
Help! My baby's trapped in a burning building!
Technically, that's not a question.
Why is the cartoonist talking in the third person?
I'm not...
Does anyone actually frequently ask these questions?
No.
